LEGAL CLINIC OF THE LAW INSTITUTE

The Law Clinic of Sumy State University and the Department of International, European, and Comparative Law participated in an online organizational meeting with the Association of Law Clinics of Ukraine and other law clinics regarding the implementation of the project “Increasing the capacity of legal clinics to ensure accessibility in times of martial law.”

The Legal Clinic of the Academic and Research Institute of Law of Sumy State University, together with the International, European, and Comparative Law will participate in the international project of the Association of Law Clinics of Ukraine “Strengthening the capacity of legal clinics to ensure access to justice under martial law.” The project is supported by USAID’s Justice for All Program.

One of the project’s directions involves establishing connections and creating a system of interaction between Ukrainian and foreign law clinics through an international online platform. It will help quickly and effectively provide legal assistance to Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes due to the war. Eight foreign legal clinics from Wales, Italy, Germany, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, and Montenegro responded to the call for the cooperation of the Association of Law Clinics of Ukraine. Together with the Legal Clinic of Sumy State University, nine Ukrainian clinics from different regions will be involved in the implementation of the project.
